The Problem
In 2020, the Indian consulting industry was rapidly expanding, with over 47,000 firms providing a broad spectrum of services and experiencing significant demand domestically and internationally. This growth, especially in professional and management consulting services, highlights the critical need for digital differentiation in the market. Adrosonic, recognizing the need to stand out amidst fierce competition, aimed to overhaul its outdated website. The existing site lacked clarity on the services provided, was difficult for lay audience to understand, and missed opportunities to highlight important company information.
Role I Played
As the Lead UX Designer at Adrosonic during a period of significant growth, I was tasked with revitalizing the website to better represent the brand’s story and its people. Collaborating closely with the marketing team, I recognized that the website was not just a showcase of our capabilities but a vital tool for lead generation and client retention. My approach involved thorough market research to gather insights from successful industry players and competitors.
A Strategic Approach
In the consultancy selection process, clients evaluate potential partners based on expertise, the intensity of collaboration, and a shared vision. These factors guided the redesign strategy, emphasizing:
• Clear Navigation: Simplifying the website’s structure to enhance user experience was crucial. We structured the navigation around ‘what we do’ (services and expertise), ‘who we help’ (target industries and their challenges), and ‘how we help’ (insights and case studies). This approach ensured that both insiders and industry professionals could easily access relevant information.
• Branding and Simplicity: Establishing a strong, consistent brand is vital in a crowded market. I implemented a clean, minimal design that aligned with the firm’s modern, professional image while making the site approachable and easy to navigate.
• Clear Messaging: We streamlined the site’s messaging to clearly communicate Adrosonic’s value proposition and core values. This clarity provided a coherent framework for all marketing, sales, and client interactions.
• Social Proofing: Client testimonials were strategically placed to showcase our collaborative success stories, enhancing credibility and trust.
• ROI Calculator: An innovative feature added was an ROI calculator, allowing potential clients to estimate the tangible benefits of our services, simplifying complex consultancy jargon into accessible, valuable insights.
Results
The redesign yielded significant improvements:
• Enhanced Lead Generation: The new website dramatically increased leads through optimized calls-to-action and landing pages.
• Increased Scalability: The modular structure of the website facilitates easy updates and expansions, ensuring long-term consistency and adaptability.
• Improved Visibility: SEO optimizations led to better search engine rankings and enhanced user experience, increasing the site’s visibility.
Lessons Learned
